Our Story
Built On Careful Work, Not Shortcuts.
A painting business built around one idea: a finish is only as good as the preparation and communication behind it.

Built On Craft, Not Shortcuts
MMA Pro Painting exists because too many painting jobs are treated as a commodity — a quick coat of colour, rushed through, with the buyer left to spot the drips and missed edges after the crew has gone. We built our business around the opposite idea: that painting is a trade worth doing properly, and that a client asking for a fresh coat of paint deserves the same care and attention to detail as any other skilled trade in their home or business.
That starts with how we treat residential and commercial work differently, even while holding both to the same standard. A homeowner repainting a nursery has different priorities — low-odour products, careful scheduling around a sleeping baby, protecting a room full of furniture — than a property manager who needs a retail unit repainted overnight before it reopens to customers. We don’t run either type of job on autopilot; every property gets assessed on its own terms.

Preparation Comes First
Surface preparation is where we spend the time other crews are tempted to skip. Paint applied over a dirty, glossy, or poorly patched surface might look fine on the day it goes up, but it won’t look fine in six months — it’ll show every flaw underneath it, and it won’t hold its finish the way a properly prepared surface will. So before any colour goes on a wall, ceiling, or exterior surface, we clean, sand, patch, prime, and mask as the job requires.
We also try to be straightforward about the parts of the job that are easy to gloss over in a sales pitch: realistic timelines, what’s included in a quote and what isn’t, and what to expect from us while we’re on site. Drop cloths down, furniture protected, edges taped, and the space left as clean as we found it at the end of each working day — whether that’s a single bedroom or a full commercial floor.

The Right Materials, Every Time
Materials matter too, though we try not to make them the whole pitch. The right primer for a water-stained ceiling is different from the right primer for bare drywall or previously varnished trim, and the right exterior coating depends on the substrate, the exposure, and the local climate the surface has to survive — matching the product to the surface costs a little more time up front and saves a repaint a year or two down the line.
Alongside our core painting work, we’ve also built out wallpaper installation and removal as a specialty — not as an afterthought, but because a lot of the same skills apply: careful surface prep, a steady hand, and an eye for where a pattern or seam needs to line up exactly.

Why Clients Call Us Again
None of this makes us the fastest or the cheapest option available. It makes us a company that would rather earn a client’s trust on one project and have them call us again for the next one, than win a job on price and leave them unhappy with the result — that’s the standard we’re building toward on every property we work on, one finished room at a time.
We also think a good painting company should be easy to actually work with: answering the phone, showing up when we say we will, giving a quote that reflects the job we actually looked at, and being reachable after the crew has left. Small things, but they’re usually the difference between a project that feels smooth and one that feels stressful.
